• 465B Low Vertical Deflection

Hello all, I also posted this erroneously in the "oscilloscopes" section rather than the vintage section.

I recently acquired a 465B scope for a good price (free!). I had to replace a couple of tants to bring the power supply back to life and now all low voltage readings are fine.

I now have a vertical deflection issue on both channels. On both channels, the height of the display is only one graticule and the vertical positioners only travel that distance as well. I’m looking at the vertical output amplifier waveforms and they all look within spec EXCEPT the ones right at the vertical deflection plates. They should be 6v pp on both plates but they’re only 600mv pp. Nice square waves but low in amplitude. Once again, all voltages are fine.

    Any suggestions on next steps?
    Thanks,
    Ron
