Discontinuity on IV graph during voltage sweep on diode
Hello everyone,
I am reaching out for help with an issue we are encountering with our 2363B Source Measure Unit. During voltage sweeps on diodes to obtain current versus voltage data, we observe a notable discontinuity at the 10 mA current range. This anomaly does not appear when performing current sweeps, which suggests the issue is specific to voltage sweeps.Interestingly, when we manually source 100 mA of current, the discontinuity disappears. This leads me to believe that the auto-ranging feature, which we use to minimize noise, might be contributing to the issue, but we want to stay with the auto-ranging feature. We have attempted to mitigate this by adjusting the delay and interval settings, but the problem persists.
Could you please provide guidance or troubleshooting steps on how to address this discontinuity? Are there specific settings or adjustments we can make on the SMU to handle this manually while still utilizing auto-ranging? Any assistance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
