Can someone explain why I am getting this Low Amplitude measurement error when im trying to calculate an RMS (cycled version). I tried decreasing the vertical scale, playing around with the reference levels and neither have worked.

Attached picture of waveform.

Using an MSO44

Hi Paul,

It looks like you're clipping (both positive and negative), please capture your signal without clipping the ADC range (signal shouldn't go off the screen) and try again.

Hey Afonso,

Sorry I didnt realize the image got so warped. It gives the same error when its not clipping, I was playing around with the Amps/Div when I was trying to troubleshoot this.

Would you be able to share that waveform with us?

Linked a waveform. Specifically trying to get a rolling RMS graph for 15 second intervals.

Ok try 2. Didnt seem to attach in first post

Hi Paul,

I'm able to take an RMS measurement on that waveform without a problem (picture attached).

I assume you have your RMS measurement in such a way that is leading to this issue (likely the gating setting). If you're able to share a setup or session file, I'll take a look at how you have it configured.

Ya I am trying to take the RMS (cyclical) over different sections of the waveform (~20 second chunks) which is giving me the error.
