Brand new setup (i.e. brand new scope) the supplied micro hook tips (p/n 013-0363-xx) barely attaches to the probes, they do not "click" onto the probes. So, they do not remain attached to the probe for circuit analysis. Is there a trick to getting this to work or are the tips defective? Is this a known problem? None of the four tips work on any of the four probes.

Hi Jeffrey,

That doesn't sound normal, would you be able to post a picture of the probe tip with and without the hook tips?

They do not click in to place like the other standard tip attachments do and as soon as you try to clip them onto something (i.e. a pin), the tip comes off. They are unusable to me, so I thought maybe there's a technique to using them...

Hi Jeffrey,

That looks like it should work, just press down firmly and they should click in (after the cover is retracted and the micro hook is fully out, keep pushing until it clicks).

If that does not fix it, it's possible either your probes or tips are defective, I'd ask that you send them info for repair (both the tip and probe, so they can be checked together): https://www.tek.com/en/services/select-factory-service-request
Make sure to mention my name in your repair submission so it's directed to me.

I'd say that the tips are defective since no matter how firm I press them, they do not click or stay in place like the other hook tips do. Unfortunately, I cannot be without my probes, so I cannot send them and the tips to verify what I already know (which is why I started this thread). I won't take the risk of purchasing another set, so I'll have to look for another solution. Thank you for your time.
