Hi Raj,
The easiest way to generate an arbitrary waveform for the AFG3101C is to user our
ArbExpress
software and then transfer it to the instrument.

In ArbExpress the equation editor accepts only up to 7 frequency components. want to add 1000's of frequency components. I tried it in express but I couldn't generate signal of more than 7 frequency components.
In equation editor I added equation like this: Sin(w)+ Sin(2*w)+Sin(3*w)+.......
Is there any other command available for generating signals of 100s or 1000s frequency components.
I have generated an excel file also. But I don't know how to use excel data in ArbExpress. If excel data is fed to Arb Express then it will solve my problem.
Thanks & Regards
Raj Kishore

Hi Raj,
You can save your excel sheet as a .csv, open that .csv in ArbExpress and then save it as a .wfm, .tfw or .tfwx to send to your AFG3000.
ArbExpress expects the .csv to be in a given format, so I would suggest first generating a waveform in ArbExpress, saving it as a .csv, opening it in Excel and seeing how it looks, then you can replicate the format for your waveform.
