Hi.  The 1740A that we have has a lose fuse housing and the fuse no longer will lock in place.  I'm pretty sure it is because the piece on the right in the attached photo should actually be fixed in place inside the housing, but it has dislodged.  Is there a replacement part available anywhere for this?  I'm thinking we will need the entire housing.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

Is this A1F1 as listed in the manual?
If so, you have the 9 digit Tektronix part numbers there and you can get a quote for them by sending an email to buy@tek.com.

A picture of what the part left on the board looks like might also be helpful.

Hi Afonso,

Thanks for the response.  By the description in the manual, that does seem like the part.  I've sent an email to buy@tek.  Very much appreciated.

Best,
Tim

Hi Tim,

From those pictures + the manual, I think the main body of the fuse holder is 204090600 and the cap is 200226400.
159002100 is the fuse itself, which makes little sense to order from us.

That's great.  Can you tell me what the order procedure is?  I actually didn't realize you were from Tektronix, but I guess that symbol should have been the give away.

You can either call: 1-800-833-9200 opt 1.
Or send an email to: buy@tektronix.com

(Do note that it's very possible we no longer have these parts in stock, you'll be informed of whether there's stock or not once you ask for a quote)

Thanks.  I'm waiting to hear back from buy@, but will give them a call if I don't hear by end of tomorrow.

Next question is...I'm assuming this housing is soldered onto the board.  Is that correct?

Many thanks,
Tim
