Hi, tech support. Our research lab is using the delta mode of 2182A together with a SMU for measuring sample resistance. However, we are experiencing a issue with one of the 2182A. The two 2182A have a firmware of C02 and C08, respectively. Both of these 2182A can pair with a SMU for delta mode measurement when the front auto zero is enabled. However, the newer 2182A with firmware C08 (also tried downgrading to C06), shows a problem when the front auto zero is disabled. Specifically, we found that this 2182A only calculates V1/2 instead of (V1-V2)/2 when front auto zero is off. The other 2182A does not have any problem regardless of front auto zero on or off.
