Attempted to update Firmware to version 1.24.9066196409, stopped at 10%, hung for ~20 mins, then went to main screen and appeared functional. ~20-30 mins later, restarted scope, came up with linux boot menu & error, selected to boot, and displayed error once booted to main screen "Non Repairable Error, Contact Tektronix support";

Now the unit is doing the following.
Tries to boot up and first window shows "Warning"
CvpTester didn't run. It can be run manually /usr/local/tek/.cvptester [-manual]

After that it will reboot again and boots to Ubuntu screen:

Top screen title shows: GNU GRUB version 2.02 beta2-36ubuntu3.1

Three options to select from:
1. *Ubuntu
2. Advananced options for ubuntu
3. Windows recovery environment (loader) (on/dev/sdb1)

When you Select 1 option. system reboots and goes to Tektronix splash screen then comes up with errors windows. " TekScope Stopped, A system error has occurred Restart is required. If you continue to see this message contact your Tektronix service centerfor asssistance.

Selecting Option 2 and 3 asks for a Username and Password. Which I do not know. If you hit enter with no info for both it reboots then Ubuntu screen options screen comes up again.

Any Ideas on how to fix this would be great.

For anyone stuck in this situation try creating a forceinstall.txt file on your usb. From customer support:

First re-download the firmware update file.
On and empty USB drive add the firmware .img file with an empty file named forceinstall.txt
Unplug the unit from wall power for a few minutes.
Connect the USB drive.
Plug back in and power on.
