Low filter function for MSO series

Hi All,<br> <br> I am trying to use a function to filter some noises from waveform! Is there any function that we can use on MSO series or we have to buy a low pass filter device and connect it between OC and probe?<br> <br> <br> I just want to see a smooth waveform!<br> &#160;

Hi Hamed,<br> <br> We do not have an &quot;MSO series&quot;, the MSO terminology is used in several different series. Instead I'd ask for the full model number of your machine.<br> <br> If you have an MSO2/4/5/6, then you can go into your vertical channel menu and set the bandwidth limit as you desired, which applies a DSP low-pass filter to your channel input.<br> If you have the user defined filter option enabled, then you can also use that to generate more complex filters with the desired properties.

I have MSO2, I guess this model does not have that low pass filter function! I can decrease the 20MHz but wondering If it can reduce the noise as I wish!

Hi Hamed,<br> <br> If you wish to reduce noise on your signal then you can enable averaging or high-res acquisition mode.<br> <br> I will say that what I see from your image doesn't look like noise, it looks like ringing at the top of the rising edge, which is there for a reason and should not be ignored.
