Hi All,

I am trying to use a function to filter some noises from waveform! Is there any function that we can use on MSO series or we have to buy a low pass filter device and connect it between OC and probe?

I just want to see a smooth waveform!

Hi Hamed,

We do not have an "MSO series", the MSO terminology is used in several different series. Instead I'd ask for the full model number of your machine.

If you have an MSO2/4/5/6, then you can go into your vertical channel menu and set the bandwidth limit as you desired, which applies a DSP low-pass filter to your channel input.
If you have the user defined filter option enabled, then you can also use that to generate more complex filters with the desired properties.

I have MSO2, I guess this model does not have that low pass filter function! I can decrease the 20MHz but wondering If it can reduce the noise as I wish!

Hi Hamed,

If you wish to reduce noise on your signal then you can enable averaging or high-res acquisition mode.

I will say that what I see from your image doesn't look like noise, it looks like ringing at the top of the rising edge, which is there for a reason and should not be ignored.
