TDS 2024B Fails Adjustment Procedure

I have a TDS 2024B that I am trying to run through the adjustment procedure.  I'm using a Fluke 9500B O'scope Calibrator.  It runs through the DC voltages on channels 1 to 4 but fails when I get to the -2.5V step on EXT TRIG.  This is step 33 of the procedure.  Anybody have a possible solution or cause for this failure?  I would appreciate any ideas.

The TDS2000B service manual lists step 33 (page 5-7) as 1.0 V, not -2.5 V.
