We have an MSO46 and an MSO58 in our lab.  Controlling the MSO58 through the web interface is as snappy as using the touchscreen; however, controlling the MSO46 through the web interface is like using it over dial-up.  Network cables and drops have already been ruled out.  The firmware was recently updated to 2.4.4.1152, and that seemed to help a little, but the is still a 2-3sec lag for anything.  Has anyone else experienced this, and were you able to resolve it?  Or is this just the way the 4 series is?

Hello Jonathan, The MSO46 (and 4 Series MSO in general) has a different ARM processor than the 5 and 6 series MSOs. So the MSO46 doesn't perform as well, hence this is why you see the 4 series operate so slowly with a web interface like e*scope. Especially if the MSO46 is trying to run heavier processes while simultaneously managing network communications. Are you using the e*scope web interface with the MSO46 or are you using something else?

The 2-3 second lag is somewhat still longer than expected though. What does your setup look like? What are the settings and measurements on the MSO46 you are using? Do you have an IO trace (monitoring the communications)?
