I have been working with the AFG on my scope. Its currently configured to be a single cycle square wave in burst mode. I was wondering if there is anyway to run a burst when the scope is triggered? I am trying to get the scope to output 5V for 1+ seconds when an event is triggered on one of the channels. So far the only way I can find to trigger a "burst" is with a manual button push.

Thanks,
Keagan

Hi Keagan,

I don't believe there's any built-in way to trigger the AFG according to an external trigger.
If your timing isn't critical, it should be possible to do this through SCPI commands: https://www.tek.com/en/sitewide-content/manuals/4/5/6/4-5-6-series-mso-programmer-manual

A better option would be to use a standalone AFG, which should have an external trigger input just for such use cases.
