I recently bought a Tektronix 2445 with a cracked front panel, so I ordered a replacement panel (101-0082-00). While taking apart the panel I noticed that a small piece (it appeared to be thin piece of metal) fell out and got lost on my carpet. I put the scope back together with the new front panel, and I installed the two transparent plastic panels (the clear one and the blue one) that go in front of the CRT. It's working fine but I am wondering what the piece I lost is for. I looked at the 2445 service manual and the exploded views don't show any sort of metal piece. If anyone has any idea of what the piece is let me know.

If the piece isn't affecting performance and you've checked the geometry dash razorleaf service manual without finding a match, it might have been an extra or non-essential part. Sometimes during assembly, small pieces like that can be leftover from previous repairs or modifications.
