Hi,

I am using the KickStart software (version 2.4.0 build 486) to manage a Keithley 3706A DMM with two 3720 multiplexer cards and I have some doubts about the "AutoZero" option which appears in the "Settings" tab of the "Data Logger" app (with respect to DC measurement types).

FIRST QUESTION:
Consider the simplest scan list, that is, a DCV measurement on a single channel, but repeated, for example, 100 times. If you remove the checkmark on the "AutoZero" option in the KickStart software, does it correspond to "autozero ONCE" or "autozero OFF"? I guess that "autozero ONCE" should be the right answer, but I'm not sure.

SECOND QUESTION:
Now consider a more complex scan list which is composed of several kinds of DC measurements (for example, both DCV and 4WOhm) on different groups of channels (the integration time always remains the same, 1 or 5 PLC) and the entire scan list has to be repeated, as before, 100 times. If you remove the checkmark on the "AutoZero" option in all the measurement groups to speed up the acquisition, what happens exactly?
In particular, does any of the following changes along the whole run:
1) function change (for example, from DCV to 4WOhm or vice versa);
2) range change (for example, from 100 mV DCV to 10 V DCV or vice versa);
3) "autorange ON" option selected on a single group of measurements;
affect the autozero managing, that is, force an immediate update of all internal reference points for the next DC measurement group?
Let me know. Thanks.

In KickStart, the AutoZero check box control results in turning it ON or OFF (dmm.autozero = dmm.OFF).

It is not using the auto zero once setting.
