Hello,

Question #1

I have a 3706 equipped with a 3720 card. I have tried to measure dc voltage using channels, it works smoothly. But when I do that directly via the analog backplane connector, it just gives readings as when all channels are opened. Looks like there's something wrong with the wiring between the DMM and the analog backplane connector inside the 3706?

Question #2

Solved.

Thanks!

On each of the DB78 connectors on the 3720 card, there are the +ILK and -ILK pins.
Make sure to jumper these two pins together to enable the closure of the backplane relay.

NOTE:  when using the 3720-ST wiring accessory, these jumpers are made for you.

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, that's how I have done in the beginning so the channels works smoothly. But the problem is that when I measure dc voltage using the analog backplane connector, it doesn't work.
