Oscilloscope ZTEC 450PCI not working with KITE9.1 SP6 (WIN 7)

Hi, there are two 4200 SCS systems in my lab, one of them is using KITE 8.2 on the XP system, and the other is using KITE 9.1 SP6 on WIN7 system. Recently, we notice that the Oscilloscope ZTEC 450PCI works fine with KITE 8.2, but it can't be initialized by KCON with KITE 9.1 SP6 on WIN7. We have modified the Syscon_Online.kcf file accordingly. And WIN7 system has detected the ZTEC C-class Oscilloscope, and the diver is installed correctly after rebooting the system.  The slot number and the information about OSC1 is exactly the same on two systems. I have noticed the C codes are different on these two systems. Can anyone help this issue since we want to take some measurements using Oscilloscope ZTEC 450PCI with KITE 9.1 SP6 on WIN7?

Are you moving the scope card between the two systems?  Or do they both have a scope card and just the one running KITE 9.1 is not working? If you are attempting to move the card between the two systems, it will not work.  The expected cards of the configuration is not designed to be modified in the field.  So if the KITE 9.1 system never had a scope card, it will not be accepted by the KCON config. Please clarify.

Hi, Andrea, thank you for your replay. YES, we are trying to move the scope card from KITE8.2 to KITE9.1. However, we are not just simply moving the hardware between two systems. We understand that the Syscon_Online.kcf file needs to be modified accordingly. Previously, we have successfully move SMU and PGU cards to SLOT4 and SLOT5 on KITE 9.1 by changing the C:\s4200\sys\kcon\Syscon_Online.kcf files as follows: [INSTRUMENTATION] LIST=SMU1,SMU2,SMU3,SMU4,VPU1,GNDU,TIMER1; (Here we added SMU4 and VPU1); HARDWARE_ONLINE=TRUE; PLC=50HZ; In the following text, we added the hardware information of SMU4 and VPU1: [SMU4] MODEL=KI4210 VERSION=M31 SLOT=4 PREAMP_ENABLED=TRUE FORCE_CONNECTION=NC SENSE_CONNECTION=NC SENSELO_CONNECTION=NC SERIAL_NUMBER=0999381 CALONDATE=1248494400 CALDUEDATE=1280030400 PREAMP=PA4 HW_VERSION=6.0:583597 ACALAVALIABLE=TRUE ACALDATE=1248494400 [VPU1] MODEL=KIVPU VERSION=1.02 HW_VERSION=3.0B:361442 SERIAL_NUMBER=1105478 SLOT=5 CALONDATE=1248494400 CALDUEDATE=1280030400 CHANNEL1_HRID=VPU1CH1 CHANNEL2_HRID=VPU1CH2 CHANNEL1_HIIMPEDANCE=1 CHANNEL2_HIIMPEDANCE=1 CHANNEL1_CONNECTION=NC CHANNEL2_CONNECTION=NC While after we did the same modification for OSC1 (adding OSC1 to LIST= and adding the OSC1 hardware information copied from KITE 8.2), the KCON error message popped up when we were trying to validate the hardware configuration in KOCN. The driver for ZTEC ZT450PCI has been installed. We have noticed the DLL drivers at C:\s4200\kiuser\usrlib and C codes located at C:\s4200\sys\src\kiscopeulib\src are different for these two systems. In addition, there are two 4200-SCP2 Firmware Version from the 4200-SCS System Version Table: 4200-SCP2 Dual Channel Digital Storage Oscilloscope Card Firmware Versions 1.29 - (Initial release) 1.34 - Minor Updates And the table shows Oscilloscope with Firmware Version 1.34 is supported from V7.1 to V9.1-SP6. We have updated the Firmware for SMUs and PGUs following the KTE Interactive V9.1-SP6 Software Release Notes. However, we did not find any instruction about how to update the Firmware for Oscilloscope. Thanks!

This problem has been solved by restore another Keithley 4200 system backup.
