Hi all,
Recently had to restore the OS on our DSA72004B oscilloscope. OS restoration went well and oscilloscope was able to boot into Windows XP without any issues. The OS restoration process had completely wiped all the firmware off the scope so I had to reinstall firmware. Sadly, I was not able to find the original CD that came with the scope as this is a pretty old device.
Found the right firmware on Tek.com and installed it:
https://www.tek.com/en/support/software/firmware/firmware-dpo7000-dpo-dsa70000-dpo-dsa70000b-c-mso70000-c-doc-win-xp
After reinstalling the firmware, I get the following blue screen of death every time the Tekscope app starts (see attached scopeBSOD.png image). The scope then reboots and is stuck in a never-ending cycle.
I'm able to halt the blue screen by opening up Windows Task Manager before tekscope app opens up. I don't hear any of the relays clicking as Tekscope opens up.
Anyone ever have this issue and was able to resolve it?
Thanks,
Benoit
