2602B channels in parallel for increased current
Is it possible to hook up both channels on my source meter in parallel to increase the current I am able to supply? Using timers in Kiethley TSB, I've been pulsing an LED at 3A with forward voltage under 5V and want to be able to go closer to 6A. Even if I can't reach 6A because my forward voltage goes to high, I want to see how high I can go.
I've quickly tried to modify my script to copy my settings for channel A onto channel B and just connect them in parallel, but my unit keeps getting hung up somewhere when I try and run my script. -
TSP Link with 2602B and 2601A
I have been using my Kiethley 2602B for a while with Kiethley TSP and interfacing with pyvisa. I want to hook up my 2601A so I have another channel to take measurements on with my script.
I have my old setup that works talking to the 2602B over ethernet. I connect a 5e cable between a TSP Link connector on each instrument, no other connections on the 2601A. I assign node 1 to the 2602B and node 2 to the 2601A. When I select reset on the 2602B, I immediately get error 1205, no remote nodes found.
I have tried multiple 5e cables and both TSP Link ports on both instruments. Any idea where I may be going wrong?
