• RE: Invalid media when trying to load an Arbitrary waveform for the fitted AFG option on a MSO54.

    Hello Tektronix AFG Support.

Please read "source" instead of "media" in Thread Title.

The "media" was part of the directory path, "media/C:Pulse Train 40ns.wfm"

I have just tried to get a screenshot of the splash error message, no joy :((( as I am locked out from doing anything until I hit "OK" in the splashed error message.

All files for the waveform attached, don't laugh It's a very simple pulse train :D
The 40nS refers to the width of the first pulse in the train, which needs to be repeated every 100uS

So I what to load the wfm version, and run in continuous mode with a 100uS repeat.

Every cell in the Excel SS represents a block of time 10nS wide, there are 10000 cell to the complete pulse train. So the pulse train waveform before it repeats lasts for 100uS.

    Best Regards

  • Invalid media when trying to load an Arbitrary waveform for the fitted AFG option on a MSO54.

    Hello

    Problem: As Thread Title.

I know my pulse train waveforms work, the developed them in Excel and used ArbExpress convert it to a file format my personal AFG3022B could used. The waveform is correct.

I then used ArbExpress to save a file to WFM file format for my companies MSO54 (with AFG) to use.

Arb is in off state, point the control panel at location of waveform file.

Put Arb into continuous or burst modes and it splashes a error message along the lines of "Invalid Media" + location I told to look for the waveform file. I have tried all USB ports on the front panel, with file in the USB root or sub-directory and I have also tried the same with the internal MSO's internal C: Drive.

    No Joy! :(((

What am I doing wrong or what has Tektronix left out of the User manual or help pages?

    Best Regards

    Daniel
