We currently have P6139B probes but are in need of extras. These probes seem to be overkill for what we need. Currently, I'm entertaining using the TPP0200 instead. We need to be able to resolve rise and fall times of about <20nSec. Is there much difference between the two probes if we are using a DPO 3014?

Hello,

There will likely not be a large change in observed rise time using a 100MHz scope, since the scope is the limiting factor. The scope rise time should be around 3.5ns, while the TPP0200 probe is specified at 2.3ns typical.

The TPP0200 has 12pF input C, while the P6139B has 8pF. Depending on your system that may have a slight impact as well.

I hope that helps. Thank you!
