Hello,
We currently have a AWG5208/825/8HV

Can you please confirm the DAC sample rate is 5GS/s and whether or not there is an option of getting a higher sample rate with this unit.

Also, is there an up-conversion option with this unit that allows the DACs to output at baseband and then upconvert to a carrier of my choice?

I know there is an option to upgrade the sample rate from 2.5 GS/s to 5 GS/s (10 GS/s interpolated), AWG5200-2-2550. Is this something that could be added to the above unit via license or is hardware also required?

Also regarding the up-conversion option AWG5200-2DIGUP, does it allow the unit to perform as the customer describes and is it upgradeable via license or is hardware also required?

The corresponding options for this instrument would be AWG5200-8-2550 and AWG5200-8DIGUP (which requires AWG5200-8-2550). Regarding up conversion, the answer is maybe. But it's still subject to more limitations than the question suggests as the center frequency can be half the output sample rate without additional DDR limitations.
