I took delivery of a new Keithley 2100 this week. I downloaded and installed up-to-date versions of the Keithley I/O Layer and KI-Tool. KI-Tool itself is working as advertised. However, I'm unable to use KI-LINK. When I attempt to open either the Excel or Word versions of KI-LINK, I get error messages of this type:

Microsoft Forms
Could not load some objects because they are not available on this machine

Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications
Compile error in hidden module: WinApi
This error commonly occurs when the code is incompatible with the version, platform, or architecture of this application.

These messages now appear any time I open Excel, even when I'm not attempting to open KI-LINK. Rather annoying! I'm thinking perhaps the problem is that these tools are rather old, and may not be compatible with modern versions of Microsoft software. I'm on Win11 and Microsoft 365.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting the issue? At the very least, I want these error messages to not appear when I open Excel for work unrelated to my multimeter!

Additional error message: I do see the KI-TOOL toolbar appearing in Excel under the 'Add-ins' ribbon. However, the buttons don't work. When I push them I get error messages of this type:

"Cannot run the macro 'DMMAboutM35XX'. The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled."

Hello,

Unfortunately, KI-LINK is an obsolete software that does not function with more current versions of Microsoft office and Operating Systems.
Microsoft removed macro functionality of this type in Office versions later than Excel 2010 and Windows versions newer than WIN 7.
I can only recommend that you use a newer software, such as our KickStart software:

Otherwise, you would need to create a custom program to control your instrument.
I apologize for any inconvenience.
