Hi,
I'm new on programming an SMU to perform measurements and I would like your input.
I'm using a 2636B, and I would like to perform the following measurements:
a) apply and keep a voltage and measure the current response as a function of time,
b) apply a voltage pulse, and measure the current response as a function of time while applying and after the pulse ends, in order to see the transient current behacior of my DUT.

The first task is quite straightforward. What I mainly struggle with is the second task with the simultaneous current measurement as a function of time while the voltage change levels. What would you suggest?

I am using LabView to program my device.

Thank you in advance.

You second task can be implemented with the asynchronous trigger model.

Old forum showing the feature:
asynchronous sampling from the source timing - capture transients

I will upload a simple LabVIEW sample for loading scripts/functions and then making use of the functions from VIs.
