• Set a risetime for current (2450)

    Hello,

I am currently trying to use a Keithley 2450 as a programable load, just having it sink current. I don't need to measure anything, as I am measuring current and voltage externally.

I would like to be able to rise from 0 to 5ma, within a certain amount of time. I do see options for programming sweeps, but I am not sure that is what I want. All that I need to do it rise from 0 to 5ma linearly, within a set amount of time (~30us) wait a bit, and then decrease to 0ma. Sweeps allow this, but I don't believe they really let me set certain rise times, and they aren't really the tool for this. I have previously used programable loads, and they all have "slew rate" options that you as a user can set, usually in A/uS (amps per microsecond)

IE if I wanted to go from 0 to 1A, in 2 seconds, I could set slew rate for .5A/uS, and this would get me a lovely linear rise over the course of 2 seconds. How do I do this on the 2450?

Any help would be very appreciated, thank you!
