It's impossible to view the virtual front panel by ethernet . I can connect with the 2281S-20-6  but  the  virtual front panel doesn't upload. I have traied  with mozilla, chrome and  explorer .
When i  have checked the problem seems that there is a caducate certificate ( I have atached  an image). How can i solve it?
Thanks,

Hello Joan,

The 2281S virtual front panel is developed using Java. Due to security concerns, all internet browsers dropped support for Java based application. For that reason, we can no longer support virtual front panel operation for this unit.

Will Tek provide free Kickstart licences to replace the lost functionality?  Perhaps new firmware to support somthing other than Java?

The 2281S virtual front panel can currently only run in internet explorer due to its use of java web applets. To get the virtual front panel running, first install Java. After this, open the "configure Java" program on your PC. From here, click on the security tab and add the ip address of the 2281S to the "Exception site list". The Virtual front panel software should be accessible now.

Hi,

Did anybody get this to work? I'm trying to view the data logger and virtual front panel on the web interface in IE 11, using Java version 1.8.0_381. I am getting the same certificate error when the applet tries to load. I've added the IP of the 2280S to the exception list and this has not helped. Screenshots attached.

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated. Many thanks.
