Hi, I am new to the forum and I have just started using the Tekscope Utility software with its version 1.4.2.
I am extracting the data of some characteristic parameters of a sine waveform using a Tektronix DPO5034B oscilloscope, with the help of the "Data Logger" section of the software.
The case is that when extracting the data in a .csv file it returns all the data in the same column, separated by commas, which makes them quite confusing, since the software separates the decimals with commas (,) which complicates its reading, since when processing the data and trying to separate by columns the different data in Excel indicating that it separates when it finds a comma, if a value is integer that column does not move it and at the end the data remain disordered.

Then, I have several questions:
- Could I somehow get the software to separate the measurements into different columns directly instead of putting it all in one column separated by commas?
- If the above is not possible, can I get the separation between decimals to be a period (.) instead of a comma (.)? I think this would greatly facilitate data processing.

Other than the above, I find the software tremendously useful and am very happy to have discovered it.

Best regards.

Hi Javier,

This is usually caused by your Windows language setting being set to a region that uses a comma character to represent the decimal.  That said, I pretty sure I had made a changes to ignore this setting and always use a period for the decimal years ago.  You are definitely using version 1.4.2 right?  I'll dig into the code and see what is going on.  In the meantime, try changing the language/region on the PC you are using to en-US or en-GB.
