Digital and Analog Filters on DMM 4040

We are trying to automate measurements on the DMM 4040 using python. We are unable to turn on the digital filter remotely using the command VOLT:FILT:DIG ON. Would there be any code snippets or examples that we can take a look at to see how to simultaneously turn on both digital and analog filters using the SCPI command set and python?

The DMM4040 is an obsolete and unsupported DMM so the amount of support I am able to give is very limited. I did manage to find the programmers manual found below here, start on page 31 for all accepted SCPI commands.
