RE: AFG3000 series and Arbexpress - creating a sine waveform
This can be done using the Burst Mode on each channel. With the sine frequency of 27kHz, if you set the number of cycles in the Burst Mode to be 270,000 then the burst duration will be 10 seconds. You then set the Trigger Interval to 20 seconds, and you'll get the 10 seconds "on" and 10 seconds "off". Do the same for the second channel, but set the delay to 10 seconds. This will cause the 2nd channel to come on when the first channel turns off.
Unfortunately, there isn't a way of easily changing the amplitude on consecutive bursts. You can do this manually (adjust CH1 while CH2 is playing, and vice versa), or programmatically. -
RE: Vintage 11302 and TEKCATS ....problems
You may want to check with the fine folks at VintageTEK.org. They may have the firmware images for the 11302. -
RE: MSO/DPO5000/7000 Series and MSO4/5/6 Series Single Acquisition Keep History
On the 4/5/6 Series scopes, the measurement system does keep the statistics of consecutive acquisitions (provided no configuration changes were made between acquisitions). To see the accumulated statistics, simply add a Measurement Results Table. You can do this by clicking/tapping the "Results Table" on-screen button in the upper right corner of the display, and then selecting Measurements. On the result table, there will be two sets of statistical data (mean, min, max, stddev, population). The set to the left are the "local" stats, which are updated with each acquisition. The set to the right are the running accumulated statistics. -
RE: Which command group to retrieve the specturm measurement results of MSO44?
Hello Jeremy,
You would typically use the same commands to recall any other measurement result:
MEASUrement:MEAS<n>:RESUlts:CURRentacq:MEAN?
where <n> is replaced with the relevant measurement number.
However, it does appear that there is a bug in the firmware that is returning in invalid response. This has been reported to our engineering team. -

RE: TPP1000 Step Response Differs on Different Probes
One additional comment - please be sure that each probe is compensated on the channel is it is being used on. The probe compensation is stored separately on each channel (it is not stored in the probe). You can double-check the probe's compensation status on the channel it is connected to in the channel badge > Probe panel. -
RE: How to Measure Cycle to Cycle Jitter using MSO58
Cycle to Cycle Jitter is a feature that was added to the Jitter measurement collection in firmware with Version 1.40 which was released back in June 2022. You can update your MSO58 firmware yourself. The latest version is v1.44. Here are the links to the installers for the embedded Linux OS and the optional Windows 10 OS:

RE: Burst measurement channel 3
When you hit Meas > Freq > Burst, the bottom of the screen should show you selections for inputs A, B and C. Does yours not show this? What version of firmware is your unit running? -
