  • Does anyone know why the firmware update for dec 2024 has gone for the mso4b

Mon, 28 Apr 2025 11:20:08 GMT – Does anyone know why the firmware update for dec 2024 has gone for the mso4b
In keeping my oscilloscope updated with the latest firmware. i have recently noticed that the December 2024 update has disappeared from the firmware update page.

In fact there has been no update since December.

Historically updates are normally released every 3 month.

    Wed, 16 Oct 2024 07:39:48 GMT – MSO456 Firmware 2.12.5.2206 Safe to Install?
I think it depends on what firmware version you have installed if you select Help on the menu and then about the dialog box will tell you what version that you have

If you had installed the previous version (Version 2.10.5.1825 the one with the TDR measurement) i think you should be ok
but that is how I have understood the known bugs.

I will be installing it this weekend as I am away from my scope right now (I have Version 2.10.5.1825 installed)

    Hope that helps
  • RE: Is this a bug in MSO64B during measurement badge readings for Maximum and Minimum

Tue, 15 Oct 2024 14:46:03 GMT – Is this a bug in MSO64B during measurement badge readings for Maximum and Minimum
Hi Ive just had a look at your jpg unfortunately it appears that you misread the screen you have two channels open
Channel 3 and Channel 4 channel 3 is set for 100mV per division and channel 4 is set for 1V per div

The display is set to overlay mode

Channel 4 is active so that is why the graticule is set at 1v per div.

to prevent this confusion from happening again set the screen to stacked mode
To do this double tap on the screen area to get the waveform view dialog box and tap Stacked  in display mode this will set up each graticule
for the voltage that you have set for each channel. You could of course just hit the channel 3 button on the front panel to make channel 3 active.

    Hope that helps
