• MSO46 UI Issues with Firmware 2.12.5.2206

Hi,

Not sure if this issue is already known, in the latest firmware 2.12.5.2206, under the channel settings, the "Multi-channel" deskew button is cutoff, and I believe the "Set Unity" button for the external attenuaton and alternate units is off screen and unclickable. Please see attachments.

Speaking of UI inconsistencies, I also noticed quite a few alignment issues that occurs with smaller font sizes. It'd be great if these following issues could also be addressed, even if they don't affect functionality.

* Spectrogram Checkbox within the Spectrum View menu is not aligned
* Serial Number for the probe is not left aligned
* Under Waveform View, Graticule Style and Intensity is not aligned
* Right click context menu, the menu text are not left aligned.

Regards,

Frank
• MSO456 Firmware 2.12.5.2206 Safe to Install?

According to the release note for 2.12.5.2206, under known issues, it states that the

* Firmware update causes loss of HostID and licenses from versions 1.44.3.433 to 2.8.1.2771
* Firmware update deletes or corrupts licenses and unable to reinstall licenses

So, is it safe to update my MSO4 with a perpetual license to the latest 2.12.5.2206? The release notes does not make that clear.

Thanks,

Frank
• MSO46 Missing Waveform Histogram Feature

I have updated my MSO46 oscilloscope to firmware v.2.6.38 however I do not see the waveform histogram feature. What license do I need to be able to access that feature?
• RE: When to use clock recovery for rise time on MSO4 series?

Thanks for the reply, but I'm still a bit confused. Wouldn't all the transitions on the data line be transition bits and thus not need the clock? Can you provide a concrete example of when clock recovery would be needed?

• When to use clock recovery for rise time on MSO4 series?

I noticed that under the measurement for rise time on the MSO 4 series, there is an option to use clock recovery. Can you provide an example of when I would use this option?
