RE: Tektronix MS058 FW upgrade from 1.2 to 1.8
Hello,
Upgrading the firmware version will not effect the calibration on your instrument. Therer are firmware versions that require an installation after 1.2 before 1.8 can be installed. Please refer to the firmware update release notes for details.

RE: SignalVu - Windows 11
Hello,
We have not yet validated SignalVu-PC for use with Windows 11.

RE: Signals not changing
Thank you for you question. Unfortunately, we stopped production of the TDS2014 in 2006 and it is out of long term support. At this time our service group offers best effort repair as many parts are no longer available. I'll provide contact information for them should you want to pursue a repair through them. I've attached a copy of the service manual which provides troubleshooting. From you description I'd assume that the Acquisition/main board of the scope is at fault and will most likely need replacement. Main boards are no longer available for sale have been supply depleted for several years.

RE: Setting ranges
To set different ranges, we recommend a change to battery model. Additionally, it's recommended to use Battery Test to create custom battery models.

RE: Setting Lower Bandwidths with Generic BNC Probe
There are two methods of reducing bandwidth of a channel.
1. Using a MATH filter to limit the bandwidth.
2. Combining HIGH RES Mode with a reduction of Sample Rate which will also limit the bandwidth of the channel. -
RE: Setting Attenuation
Can you elaborate on your P6015A setup, the scope manufacture and model number you are using it on, and any other details you may have?
It is very important with this probe to have an earth ground, both at the probe body and at the interface of the probe to the scope (i.e., an earth-referenced scope channel).
I also recommend reading the full user manual for this probe. Due to the typical use case of this probe (high voltage), it is important to know its limitations and requirements. The manual can be found here: https://www.tek.com/en/high-voltage-probe-manual/p6015a

RE: Set scope settings from PC
Hello,
Unfortunately, there is not a tool that would help view and edit the settings files. The THS3000 is also not supported by TekVisa so it will not be able to respond to commands over the Talker/Listener.

RE: Set Max Amplitude
The 500 mVp-p to 1 Vp-p spec is for differential usage. When operating as single-ended, the voltage output is half of that or 250-500 mVp-p.

RE: Passive Probe not reading voltage
There is not any documentation regarding functional tests for the TPP1000 or TPP500 passive probes. Could it be that the probe is connected to a earth-isolated voltage source? Without a ground reference to the source you won't get a signal because the scope itself is earth grounded.
Depending on the bandwidth of your MSO54 you should have received 4 of either TPP probes. Do you believe one of the TPP probes to be damaged or defective?

RE: Service Manual for 2440 Oscilloscope
Thank you for contacting Tektronix. The 2445 went out of long term product support in 1995. Most manuals and parts are no longer available from Tektronix. Some customers have had success using one or more of these contacts:
