RE: No data shown and setup not correct when using recall with .tiq file: SignalVu-PC V5.3.0043
Can you provide more information, such as a setup file AND a TIQ file as examples? Also, a verbal description of your setup and expected results would be very helpful. You can send me an email directly at alan.wolke@tektronix.com -
RE: Channel RMS measurement different from DVM AC RMS Measurement on MDO3024 Scope
It appears that your CH1 waveform has some high-frequency noise on it. This will be included in the channel's RMS measurement, but would likely be filtered away in the DVM AC RMS measurement. That would likely account for the small 30uV difference between those measurements. -
RE: MSO64B :MEASU:MEAS1:RESU:CURR:MEAN Clipping causes incorrect values to be given
The CH<x>:CLIPping? query can be used to check if a channel is clipping. -
RE: Manual for a DMM 353 Digital Multimeter
The DMM353 was only produced for about a year (1995-1996).  It is quite likely that an electronic (PDF) copy of the manual was never produced. -
RE: MDO3000 Hangs when changing trigger mode
The Video trigger requires an analog source, as you know.  I have not been able to duplicate this issue.  If I start with a default setup, and change the Edge trigger source to D0, and then rotate the trigger type to Video, the Source changes to the highest analog channel number (4).  I am running 1.30 on an MDO3104. -
RE: RSA6120B is missing serial number and model information
Hi John,<br> <br> This most often happens when the system detects some tampering with the licensing system, or if the firmware is down-graded below v3.3.  Other causes could be due to some hardware failure.  In all cases however, the unit will need to be serviced by Tektronix to restore the serial number and licenses. -
RE: My oscilloscope 2432A has a noisy trace
The 2432A is a 300MHz scope, so it is quite normal to have some noise on the trace with nothing connected at the input. Since this scope features a digitizer to sample the waveform, the noise appears more apparent than it would from just a live analog trace where the noise would appear muted due to the phosphor glowing brighter in the middle of the trace. -
RE: RSA3408B Option 10 (Audio THD)
The THD measurement can be made on audio signals - either directly (baseband), or as demodulated from an AM or FM modulated carrier. The measurement can be performed on audio frequencies from 20Hz to 100kHz. -
RE: meas for phase delay from pos edge of chan1 to pos edge of chan2?
This should get you started:
To add the measurement, use MEASU:MEASn:Type phase, where n is the measurement number (assuming you have more than one measurement defined)
To configure the sources, use MEASU:MEASn:SOURCEx CHy, where x is 1 or 2, to define the two sources for the Phase measurement, and y is the channel number you're setting to a given source.
For example:
MEASUrement:MEAS1:TYPE phase
adds the Phase measurement badge as measurement 1
MEASUrement:MEAS1:SOUrce1 CH2
MEASUrement:MEAS1:SOUrce2 CH3
sets CH2 as the first source and CH3 as the second source for the Phase measurement.
To read the current mean value of the measurement:
MEASUrement:MEAS1:RESUlts:CURRentacq:MEAN? -
RE: MSO4/5/6 Series Channel Label doesn't track with Ch. Offset
Channel labels applied via the Channel Badge will always be lined up with the Channel Handles, whether an offset is used or not. If you prefer to have a label that is not lined up with the channel handle, you can use the "Callout" feature (button on the upper right corner of the display). You can add an unlimited number of Callouts. There are four different types of callouts:
- Note: simple on-screen text
- Arrow: on-screen text with an arrow you can use to point at something
- Rectangle: on-screen text with a user-sizable/moveable rectangle
- Bookmark: on-screen text *and* a probe-point that you can position on a trace for an instant readout
The format of the text, including font, size, and color, is all user adjustable. Callouts can be placed anywhere on the screen.
