RE: 80E11X1
Please follow the shipping instructions below:
To ensure that your instrument arrives at our depot undamaged, it is important that you follow the steps listed below:
* Only package the instrument you have requested us to service. We do not require accessories, cables, power cords etc.
* Use a sturdy cardboard shipping carton that has not been previously used and is large enough to allow room for at least 3 inches of foam padding around the instrument.
* Secure the bottom flaps of your carton with tough packaging tape or box staples.
* Line the bottom and sides of the carton with plastic film specified for use with foam-in-place chemicals.
* Be aware of the possibility that your instrument is static sensitive. Do not use styro-foam in packaging your unit.Tektronix will not return the units to the customer in the original manufacturing box, as the boxes were not designed for multiple use. To ensure ample and effective packaging, our Service Depots use a corrugated box with instant pack to protect the unit. As an exception, when customers send units in packing crates or non- disposable shipping containers, this is noted on the RMA and returned to the customer with the unit. By following these steps, you will prevent shipping damage to your unit.
Please do not send in accessories with your instrument(s) for service unless required. If you are unsure as to what should be returned for service please contact our Customer Care Center and one of our service professionals will assist you. Accessories, cables, cords "along for the ride" run the risk of damage in transit, or being disconnected from the instrument during service.

RE: RSA306B not connecting
Hello,
In order to better assist you could you please answer the following questions.
Which version of SignalVu-PC are you currently using?
Have you tried unplugging and reconnecting the RSA?
Are you connecting to a USB 3.0 port?
When you plugged the instrument in to the computer did it provide you with any error notifications?
Lastly, is your computer recognizing the RSA? You can check for it under the USB controllers tab in Device Manager. -
RE: RSA306B starter kit for interference hunting
You can start with our comprehensive user manual can be found under the Help menu in SignalVu. The Getting Started section begins on page 18 and is quite helpful for new users.
https://www.tek.com/en/manual/spectrum-analyzer/signalvu-pc-rsa7100bI would also recommend checking out this YouTube series that covers getting started with SignalVu-PC (the software that operates our RSA306B):
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBfhD_4FPIYvlXXGJHZ-CYqvRAioEbZePYou can save images, data, setups, and more by pressing File > Save As. To configure SignalVu to record and save data continuously open the recording menu by pressing Setup > Recording.
Since you are interested in tracking down interference I would recommend taking a look at the Mask Testing found under Tools > Mask Search. This allows you to define a mask and save data conditionally.
