RE: Replacement caps for the TPP0500 single ended, passive probe
The new TPP0500B has a newer probe cable that improves the durability of the probe and the probe tips are different. The electrical and mechanical specifications are the same.
The accessories are also the same for the two probes.
013-0362-01 will work with both the TPP0500 and TPP0500B.
013-0707-08 is not compatible with the either. Those are more commonly used with older generation probes such as the P6139A.
If you are interested in placing order or parts pricing, please reach out to our sales at 1.800.833.9200 option 1 or email the request to buy@tektronix.com.

RE: MSO46 Perpetual License with Expiration In 5 Months
Thanks for contacting us,
Although the UI could use a better designation for it, it looks like what is being indicated is the end of the maintenance license rather than the software bundle license. You will still be able to use the scope and all of its current features indefinitely but in order to get new features and updates you may need to purchase a maintenance license after the expiration date listed. You can also see more clarification of the license structure here: https://www.tek.com/en/tektronix-maintenance-for-software

RE: MDO34 Password Reset
There is no default password. When shipped new with 3-SEC, there is no password setup.
If a user sets a password, it is NOT cleared when running TekSecure Erase.
If the password is lost or forgotten, the only way to reset it is to return the scope to Tektronix for service. -
RE: TDS5104B admin password
Hello,
Tektronix does not have an admin password for the scopes. The TDS5000B has the standard Windows operating system. To reset the forgotten password, you will need to work with your IT team. If they are unable to reset the password, you can run an OS restore. However, an OS restore will delete all of your saved data and will revert your firmware version. To run an OS restore, you will either need the original disks or you will have to send me your serial number and I can check if we have the disks.
