Hi Sura,
The .tfwx format is not publicly documented.
I would suggest using ArbExpress to create your waveform on your computer and then save it as a .tfwx to send to your AFG and save it again as a .csv so you can read it in your script.
Another option would be to build the waveform you want on the AFG, transfer the .tfwx to your PC, open it on ArbExpress and save it as a .csv.

Hi Brendan,
I was unable to replicate this issue.
What firmware version are you running? If it's not the latest, could you upgrade and try again?
-
Hi Anamol,
OpenChoice Desktop V2.8 currently only officially supports Windows 10, as stated in the prerequisites, but it may very well work with no issues on Windows 11.

Hi James,
As it says on the front panel of the 2430, the max input voltage is 400 V, if you connect a signal with 500 Vdc you risk damaging the instrument.
Page 1-6 of the manual reinforces this and specifically says this is also true for AC coupled mode.
The trigger LF Reject mode only applies to the trigger path, it does not affect the channel acquisition path.
So, the 2430 does have an AC coupling mode, but your DC offset is so high that you risk damaging the instrument if you use it directly. Instead, you should use an external DC block (which is just a capacitor in series) rated for 500 Vdc before the channel input.

Hi Tom,

From my testing, it appears the position command uses divisions for its units. So, if you set the position to +1, you move it up 1 division. If you set it to -1, you move it down one division.
It also appears to accept non-integer values, so you can, for example, set it to -1.5 to move it down one and a half division

Hi Tom,

To change the vertical position you should use
display:specviewX:chX:vertical:position
, for the scale you should use
display:specviewX:chX:vertical:scale
.

I don't believe these are currently documented in the programmer's manual, I will work to get that changed.

Hi Xiang,

It sounds like what you want is FastAcq, which will give you a heatmap of events, not infinite persistence.

Hi Leonardo,

The THS730A firmware is not user upgradable, it had to be sent into to service for that.
I don't believe the firmware or procedure is publicly available.

Hi Michael,

I have confirmed that this is an issue with 1.30 and that it's not possible to downgrade the firmware.

Our teams are working on an update to fix this issue, I apologize for the inconvenience.

-
Hi Michael,

I don't see a 1.3.0 available? The latest firmware available on our website is 1.2.7.

With 1.2.7 I was able to get a linear sweep with no issues.
